Check in and take some time to refresh after your international flight. Later in the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the vibrant downtown area of Ulaanbaatar. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, begin your journey toward the Gobi Desert and the spectacular White Stupa (Tsagaan Suvarga).

This breathtaking limestone escarpment rises nearly 30 meters high and stretches for hundreds of meters, shaped by wind and water erosion over millions of years. The colorful layers of white, pink, and orange resemble the ruins of an ancient city. The area was once covered by a prehistoric sea, and marine fossils can still be found scattered across the surrounding plains.

Enjoy a guided walk along the cliffs, panoramic photo stops, and time to admire the vast open landscapes of the Gobi. In the late afternoon, arrive at a nearby tourist camp, check in, and enjoy dinner under the wide Mongolian sky.

Overnight at a tourist camp.

Yol Valley, also known as the “Valley of the Vultures,” is famous for its towering rock walls and permanent ice fields that often remain frozen even during the summer months. Keep an eye out for ibex, wild sheep, and soaring lammergeier vultures overhead. In the evening, arrive at your tourist camp, enjoy dinner, and relax in the peaceful desert surroundings.

After a hearty breakfast, depart for the legendary Khongor Sand Dunes, the largest and most impressive dunes in Mongolia.

These golden dunes, known as the “Singing Dunes,” stretch over 180 kilometers and rise more than 300 meters high. When the wind blows, the sand creates a deep humming sound that echoes across the desert, giving the area a mystical atmosphere.

Visit a local nomadic camel herding family and enjoy a traditional welcome. Experience a memorable Bactrian camel ride across the desert landscape, explore nearby green oases, and climb to the top of the dunes for breathtaking panoramic views of the Gobi Desert.

Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

This world-renowned paleontological site is where the first dinosaur eggs were discovered in the 1920s by American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews. Walk along the red sandstone formations that glow brilliantly at sunset, giving the cliffs their fiery name. Learn about the area’s importance in the history of dinosaur research and Mongolia’s ancient past. Ride horses along scenic forest trails to reach the monastery, located at the top of a mountain with sweeping views over the surrounding valleys. Tuvkhun is one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in Mongolia and is recognized as part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape. It was once the meditation retreat of Zanabazar, Mongolia’s first spiritual leader and a renowned scholar and artist. Spend time exploring the wooden temples, meditation caves, and sacred sites, while enjoying the peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. Later in the day, transfer to Jaran Tsagaan Hot Springs Resort. Relax and soak in the mineral-rich natural hot springs, believed to help relieve fatigue, improve circulation, and soothe muscles and joints after days of travel. Dinner and overnight at the resort.

After breakfast, continue your journey through the heart of Arkhangai Province. Pass through Tsetserleg City for lunch and travel along the scenic Chuluut River Valley, famous for its deep basalt canyon formed by ancient volcanic activity.

Arrive at Khorgo-Terkhi National Park, one of Mongolia’s most beautiful natural areas. Explore the extinct Khorgo Volcano, walking along the crater rim and through lava caves and rock formations.
