Terelj Full-day Tour

After breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and begin a scenic drive east toward Tsonjin Boldog, home to the impressive Chinggis Khan Statue Complex. Upon arrival, explore the giant equestrian statue, visit the small museum inside, and walk up to the viewing platform for panoramic views over the surrounding steppe and river valley. Continue onward to Gorkhi–Terelj National Park, one of Mongolia’s most beautiful protected areas, known for its granite rock formations, alpine meadows, and forested hills. Your first stop is a visit to a local nomadic family, where you can experience traditional hospitality, learn about daily herding life, and enjoy a home-style lunch in a traditional ger. In the afternoon, visit the famous Turtle Rock, a natural rock formation shaped like a giant turtle and one of Terelj’s most iconic landmarks. Enjoy a horseback ride through the open valleys and along the river, taking in the fresh air and peaceful scenery. Conclude the day with a hike to Aryabal Meditation Temple, a hilltop sanctuary offering quiet surroundings and sweeping views of the national park. After some time for reflection and photos, begin your return drive to Ulaanbaatar, arriving in the early evening and marking the end of your full-day adventure.
